Bummer. This hood is recommended by GE to go along with my Cafe Appliance six burner stove and it's been a huge letdown. It doesn't perform the only two jobs it's meant to do. Suck out smoke and light up your stove. If I want to cook anything with the slightest amount of smoke I have to do it on the back of my stove otherwise my smoke alarms go off. And the bulbs burn out about every 7 days having to purchase new bulbs and replacing them once a week. That's $105 a year in bulbs. I had a technician come out and check it out and he said "You just picked the incorrect hood for your stove, you needed a larger hood for this stove and you need to use GE bulbs" but it's literally the hood in the picture of my stove and I purchase GE brand bulbs and they also burnt out in a week so I keep buying the amazon version. Insanely frustrating when you spend $1,150 on a hood that doesn't work and even more money cutting custom marble backsplash to fit this exact hood when it needs to be replaced. I love all my other GE appliances and hope they will discontinue this product so people don't have to pay twice for a functional kitchen.

Purchased and installed in December 2020, motor stopped working in March 2023. Don™€™t waste your money. The service call for the GE technician to just come to the house was $150. This $150 is not applied to the parts and labor. Trash appliances and criminal repair services.

Is it convertable?

Hi... I was absolutely thrilled when my parents got this for my kitchen. The problem is that my condo unit (which I own) has a HAVC system so the duct runs just above the stove which would mean I cant possibly put models duct through my duct am I right. So I was wondering will this ducted model be able to convert to ductless operation instead.

Its design is compact and sleek, we have the 36" model over the 36" cafe cooktop, At a 27.5" height. Suction power is fantastic and not loud on Hi setting, the lights are bright with total cooktop coverage.

We bought the 36 inch for max coverage for 30 inch slider. Very impressed how powerful and efficient. Glass Top easy to clean and neutral to where it did not diminish appearance of backsplash, yet ehanced it. Halogen lighting is great and lights up all 6 burners. No worries anymore about grease or orders.
