Purchased this product due to necessity. Upon delivery noticed that it did not have an agitator. Also, without an agitator, there is not a fabric softner dispenser. Now I have to purchase an infuser ball and in the mean time, I have to time the washer for rinse cycle to manually add fabric softner. Last thing is that this washer doesn't have a load size dial/button. I had to read the manual, to learn how to wash a large load(sheets, bed spread). Overall, it works, it washes well, as for the mention features, I do not like it, as it will get laundries clean.

I bought this machine brand new and from day 1 it has been extremely noisy and vibrates a ton during the spin cycle enough to shake the building. It vibrates so much that it even broke a piece of trim inside the machine!
I've contacted GE warranty and they claim it was an "installation issue" but I don't see how thats possible since the machine is level.

Having problems since I bought it,specifically, the washer at first wouldn't turn and on- that was fixed,and then another problem it shuts off before spinning and draining I bought a 5 year service warranty and the people who came out to fix it had no clue how to fix

I absolutely hate this stackable. I want to do all selections myself, not some ™green™™ presettings. My clothes are often not wet all the way through, the tub doesn™™t fill enough to cover the clothes, so agitation is limited. The dryer rarely dries heavy clothing, like jeans, towels, and blankets completely. I always have to reset for longer. And by the way, we just had all vents, including dryer vent, professionally cleaned, so that™™s not the problem. It™™s just a crappy unit. I™™ve had this train wreck for 2-3 years and am planning on purchasing a new set. Did I mention how much I dislike this piece of junk? Oh ya, we™™ve also had to have the repair guy come out 2 times in the first year. And yes, he had to repair it.

Good design of the controls, and user friendly. There are several cycles, but I used it once so far. The dryer is quiet, but the washer you can hear. It is the right size for a condo small place. With good load capacity. The installation company was quick, obviously knew what they are doing, but the package includes installation instructions. Overall I like the design and performance.

We purchased this washer and dryer about four years ago. Just a few months later, we had to call for service, and they replaced the main board. Shortly after that, something else broke and had to be replaced as well.
We have never been satisfied with this unit. It does not clean well, the wash cycles take too long, and it is not energy-saving as advertised. Last month, we had to call for service again and spend more money, only to be told that we should replace it because the same issues will keep happening.
I do not recommend this model. Very poor quality.

HAVING JUST GOTTEN OUT OF THE HOSPITAL I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY NEW WASHER/DRYER UNIT. AFTER GETTING USED TO THE NEW OPERATION, IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM MY PREVIOUS MODEL, AND DOING MULTIPLE LOADS OF WASH I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO FIND DIRTY/FILTHY MARKINGS ALL OVER THE MATTRESS PAD WHEN I WENT TO REMOVE IT FROM THE DRUM. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS JUST INSTALLED YESTERDAY. THIS PAD HAD BEEN WASHED PREVIOUSLY IN OLD MACHINE, SAME TYPE, WITHOUT A PROBLEM. The worst appliance purchase I have made. The lint catcher is poorly engineered, almost as if it was the first time you made a dryer. You need to clean out the outside vent after every drying cycle because so much link gets past the internal one.
This is a fire hazard.

Great size for bigger items and user friendly. My only complaint is that powder detergent (box detergent which is environmentally friendly) does not completely dissolve. I™™m finding soap stuck to the laundry as well as the inside of the drum.

It took over three weeks to get the first set. When I first ran it, the washer was noisy but bearable. However, about 30 minutes into the cycle, the dryer made VERY LOUD grinding sounds. I called Home Depot who let me talk to a GE representative. She listened to the sound over the phone and told me that the dryer definitely does not sound right. I asked for a replacement and they sent it a week later. The second set sounds much quieter but I am still waiting to see if there are other issues. This is the third day and there seems to be no new one and I hope it will continue that way.

Doing a great job washing and drying clothes. Took a while to figure out which wash cycle to use to get enough water in the drum to clean the clothes. The booklet was unhelpful with this. Also, the installation guy told me to pull down on the dryer handle. There is a glitch and if you just pull it open, the handle breaks. He said he had broken a few simply opening the dryer door and had to order parts. I used a sharpie to draw a down arrow on the door to make sure I don't forget.

I just had the unit delivered and installed yesterday so I in all honesty say too much good or bad. I like the size of both washer and dryer. The washer is louder than my previous and I didn™™t realize that you have to wait and manually put in softener. It will take a little getting use to it. The previous units I had did have all the bells and whistles but I wanted to avoid that for simple. I have run a few loads and so far the only complaint would be washer noise. Also I did not get agitator.

Dryer stopped working after 9 months, washer is never balanced and makes the whole machine wobble. Do not buy! GE's repair service has given us the run- around. Don't even consider buying any GE washer or dryer.

If I could give it less than one star I would. We've had this washer dryer combo for less than a couple years. Have already had to have it serviced twice. The dryers failed, and the water leaks from the bottom somewhere sometimes, never had a worse machine, our technician said GE should give us our money back as it's a lemon..

After using a very basic GE space maker for 9 years, and then an even better Maytag stackable washer/dryer for 6 years, this machine is a bit of a disappointment. It™™s noisier than either of its predecessors and quite frankly harder to figure out. I™™ve simply given up trying to use any of the optimum wash cycles, and use bulky loads and set the temperature for cool and hope for the best. The dryer seems strange as well. I™™ll poke away at the start button and it™™ll do nothing, until I™™ve poked it one more time.

I like that this unit has no agitator. This allows the clothes to wash more effectively and allows for more even distribution of the items within the drum of the washer. I also enjoy that it™™s a lot quieter than the previous unit I had. Love it

We™™ve had multiple problems with the washing machine since day one of installation. Sometimes the washer would not start at all. Sometimes it would stop in mid cycle and then shut down. The knobs on the wash machine and dryer are misaligned.

I love the washer and dryer. It does an excellent job and washes and dries much better than my old machines. I only have one small compliant and that is the dial does not line up and I'm never 100% sure that I am on the right setting.

The product never workers properly. Washer never cycled through and they refused to send a new one. They came out after much deliberation and said they fixed the item only to find clothes soaking wet. 1300 down the drain and always having to use local laundry station.

First week using a laundry center with infuser and gas dryer. Quality seems good. Still getting used to ™precise fill™ feature - seems like less water than we are used to. Downy ball does not seem to work (empty completely) but still trying to use it. Seems to spin forever!

Was very happy with Washer and dryer just what we needed for our cozy apt. Then suddenly as a year of regular use about one or 2 loads a week with normal handleing use was wrapping up the dryer handle snapped off, all plastic. When I tried calling the store I purchased they gave me a number from company which didn't work neither did numerous phone numbers in the handbook. So frustrated.

Our family normally goes through a new machine in about 4 years or so with the amount of laundry we do a day. We used other manufactures in the past but this one caught our eye do the larger capacity of the washer and dryer and the amount of great reviews. This machine is quiet and easy to use. The transmission sounds solid compared to other manufacturers that actually slap a geared coupling together to change speeds. GE engineers really thought about service and functionality. The boards are out of the way and upfront and are easy to service. I have LP so it needed to be converted which took all of about 10 minutes (only wish the LP kit came with it as an option with purchase). Hopefully we can get many years out of this one. Overall it is a great unit, some reviews say it is loud but this unit is much quieter than my last 3 other units that were made overseas.

I purchased this unit to replace a similar item from another manufacturer. The other w/d combo had an agitator and I was anxious to use this unit with an impeller instead. I think I made a mistake. I cannot leave the house with a load of laundry in this washer because I never know if it will be out of balance. I can (and have) washed two small bath mats in this washer and it was so unbalanced that it would not function until I re-arranged the load myself. I use the maximum rinse setting all the time. I had a technician come to my house to check this, it was so unpredictable. The tech found nothing out of the ordinary, which meant I had to pay for the visit. If you buy one of these, be careful about arranging the load, or leaving your house.
